MARIA's ART
I've been working and playing with clay for over forty years. When working with clay the artist always have to be patient. One is never a master, unless learning every day. The way my art is created is probably the same, as the way every artist work. I just put my heart and soul in making tangible objects, using my talent, creativity and skills.
Decorative Ceramics is my original media. In my new creations I'm adding fused glass and canvas prints of my photos, inspired by the beauty of the Southwest. After many years in New Mexico my art is getting influenced by the local culture in its own unique way. The appreciation and inspiration of my surroundings help me find my own style, that represents my creativity in using different materials, colors, textures, and symbols. My technique is not traditional, using a craft media to create fine art piece. My goal is to make an unique, authentic, and distinctive art piece which is handmade and original.
